The Burp Society’s First Meet-up at Cafe 1771

December 16, 2012 – a very momentous event for us as we officially kicked things off with our food lovers meet-up group, The Burp Society. The special dinner was held at Cafe 1771 in El Pueblo in Ortigas. Here’s a teaser photo from the first ever TBS meet-up:

Stay tuned for our full feature on Cafe 1771 on our food blog, and the rest of the details of the meet-up here, along with notes from the first official members of The Burp Society. Exciting!!

Thank you to Cafe 1771 and the Chateau Group for hosting our first meet-up. The food was delightful and it’s one gorgeous restaurant! We all had fun. 🙂

Thank you to – in proper order (we officially want this to be our first TBS inside joke 😀 ) – Frances, Norman, Mishi, David, Crystal, Kim, Jan Karen, Karl, Sevie and Potchi for attending our first meet-up. It was a pleasure meeting you all! Can’t wait to post the photos! We’ll post more photos of our first ka-Burps on our members page which should be up within the next few days. 🙂

We’re ecstatic about this project and we’re already working on the next two meet-ups. If you want to know more details about the upcoming ones, make sure you’ve signed up!

  • My sister and I had so much fun. It’s an honor to be amongst the core members of TBS, and to be able to attend the very 1st meet-up. The venue was amazing and the food was great. I bet, next time around wala ng hiya-hiya…lamon kung lamon. ^_^ Thanks again! ^_^

    • Thanks, Karl!! Yeah, next time siguro, mas makakapal na face nyo hahaha. See you soon! 🙂

  • Frances

Thank you so much (again. Haha!) for this chance! I really had an awesome time with foodies! Til next time, I hope. 😀

    • Thanks, Frances! Glad to know you had fun. Lovely photos, by the way. See you next time! 🙂

  • Thank you guys!!! More power and more burping 🙂

What do you guys think about OpenSnap? It works like instagram for food they say, and its a restaurant and food guide – Is this app worth downloading? I mean its free, but can it really help someone on a food trip?
